Profile

I am a motivated and hardworking plumbing student who has completed my City & Guilds Level 1 Plumbing qualification. I have also gained some experience shadowing plumbers and carrying out basic plumbing tasks myself, which has helped me develop a better understanding of the trade and confirmed that it is the career I want to pursue. I enjoy practical, hands-on work and the problem-solving side of plumbing. I have good attention to detail, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic, and I am eager to develop my skills further through an apprenticeship and learn from experienced tradespeople.

Work Experience

Security Officer

July 2026 – August 2026

Hockley Mint

Worked as a Security Officer at Hockley Mint, helping to keep the building safe and secure on a daily basis. I monitored CCTV throughout the day and kept an eye on activity around the building. I carried out searches using a metal detector when employees left the premises and managed the issuing and recording of keys and access fobs each morning. I also received deliveries and made sure packages reached the correct departments. At the end of each day, I worked alongside the Security Manager to lock up the building and set the security and alarm systems.

Chef / Cashier / General Assistant

February 2025 – March 2026

Lazzat Restaurant

Worked in a small, fast-paced restaurant environment with a two-person kitchen team, taking on multiple responsibilities across kitchen and front-of-house operations. Duties included food preparation and cooking, operating the till and handling customer payments, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the premises, and supporting overall daily service to ensure smooth running of the restaurant.

Ground Works

July 2023

Sandwell College Construction Gate

A week working as a ground worker, primarily focusing on manual handling. I was responsible for moving dirt, placing slabs and dirt along the sides, and digging and barrowing spoil to another location. I also emptied a skip with my co-workers and ensured the site was kept clean and safe while adhering to all safety regulations and procedures. Throughout my time I demonstrated a strong work ethic, attention to detail, commitment to safety and teamwork.
